Samsung announces Galaxy Camera without cellular capabilities

Samsung received much criticism for the high price-point of its Android smartphone + camera device, dubbed the “Galaxy Camera,” but now it seems as though Samsung is taking a step back and offering the whole quad-core camera package, but without a cellular antenna. It features the same 4.8-inch HD display with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Samsung’s TouchWiz-esque interface on top of that. This means that, while you won’t be able to upload your vacation pictures as you take them (why not enjoy the moment anyways?), you will be saving more on the bottom line. How much? That hasn’t been specified yet, but we hope to have information more soon.
