While the BlackBerry Z10 has already launched in the U.K. and Canada, the U.S. has to wait until March. Even worse, Thorsten Heins, the CEO of BlackBerry, told the Associated Press earlier in the week that the Q10 is planning on being available 8 to 10 weeks after the Z10 is launched in the United States. This opens the door for U.S. customers to look towards other platforms instead of waiting for the Q10 to arrive. Heins mentions that it’s the carriers who are causing delays, saying that U.S. carriers have a “rigid testing system.” BlackBerry is said to be working with the carriers to speed up the launch time.
