One great thing about Google’s “Nexus” lineup of devices is that they always get the latest Android updates before everyone else. Google’s recent Android 4.4 “KitKat” release should now be available for last year’s Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 models, this year’s Nexus 7, as well as the Nexus 10 tablet. If you haven’t received a notification, you can check the “System Update” menu under Settings. If you’re unfamiliar with this Android update, it essentially adds a number of seemingly useful features and design updates to keep your device feeling fresh.
