7 years ago yesterday, the first tweet on Twitter was sent from @jack, saying “just setting up my twttr.” Since then, Twitter has grown to become something huge that’s used by a large number of people. The number? Over 200 million, all of whom are active users, putting out a combined total of over 400 million tweets per day. Twitter has also created a video, embedded below, that outlines some of the major events that took place over the past 7 years for Twitter.
