Acase’s Superleggera PRO is a dual-layer case, composed of an inner silicone layer as well as a polycarbonate outer layer. The first layer is soft and made well, while the latter fits perfectly over the silicone. The outer shell has a soft-touch coating to it, meaning it’s nice and smooth to the touch. While this helps reduce the amount of fingerprints and visible scratches, it tends to offer less grip than, let’s say, a glossy shell.

The design of the case is rather simple throughout, but offers plenty of features, making this one of the best “bang for the buck” cases around. Some of the features include covered and “clicky” buttons, a modest lay-on-the-table design, as well as silicone flaps for the 3.5mm headset jack and Lightning port.

If I had to pick something about this case that could be improved, it would have to be regarding the silicone, as there is no “lip” for it. What I mean by this is that there is no material that comes up and over the front glass a bit. Instead, you can practically see the metal band of your iPhone through the sides of the silicone. This makes the case look a bit unfinished. But, this is more of a nitpicky deal that many won’t be annoyed by.

In the end, though, this is a fantastic case, given its $9.95 price. It’s no doubt a quality product of excellent value and finish. The combination of price, design, and features make this one of the best cases for the iPhone 5 to take a look at.
