LG announces 55-inch OLED TV for $12,000, 55/65/84-inch 4K TVs

When it comes to televisions, OLED technology is king, and they come with a price tag to match. At LG’s CES 2013 press conference, they unveiled their new 55-inch OLED TVs, which will be available in March for a bargain price of just about $12,000. Other than its superb picture quality, the TV itself is just 0.16-inches thin and weighs in at 22 pounds.

Beyond their OLED TV came their 4K (3840×2160) “Ultra HD” sets, soon to be available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 84-inch models. Both are equipped with 1080p to 4K upscaling. Pricing and availability for the former two are unknown at this time, but the 84-inch display is priced at about $20,000. Go ahead and head over to Costco in a few months and throw two or three of them into your shopping cart.
