Samsung has just wrapped up their major unveiling of the Galaxy S 4, what some, including myself, are considering to be the smartphone to beat for 2013. The recent leaks about the phone ended up being legitimate, everything from its design to internal hardware specifications.
In terms of design, the Galaxy S 4 looks very much on the outside like the Galaxy S III. When you get closer, though, you’ll see a neat looking texture below the front glass, sort of similar to what LG did with the Nexus 4.
On the inside, the hardware is as follows:
- CPU: 8-core CPU @ 1.6GHz (International), 4-core CPU @ 1.9GHz (United States)
- RAM: 2GB
- Storage: 16GB/32GB/64GB; microSD card slot (up to 64GB)
- Display: 5-inch Super AMOLED @1920×1080 (441ppi)
- Cellular: 2.5G, 3G, 4G LTE
- OS: Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
- Cameras: 2MP front-facing (1080p30 video), 13MB rear-facing
- Sensors: Accelerometer, light, gyroscope, proximity, barometer, temperature & humidity, gesture
- Battery: 2,600mAh
What sets this device apart from the rest is primarily down to its software, with the main emphasis being about the camera. For more information, please check out Samsung’s press release from the source link below.
