Mophie today announced an all-new battery case for the iPhone 5/5s that combines a 1,700mAh battery from the juice pack air as well as some internal storage for storing extra content.

The extra content is transferred directly through the Lightning port on your device, which seems to be a better solution than to create a Wi-Fi hotspot first, which is what a lot of competitors do. The 1,700mAh battery should give you a complete charge for your iPhone 5 (1,440mAh internal battery) or iPhone 5s. 16GB and 32GB storage capacities are available for $149.95 and $179.95, respectively. That’s not by any means cheap, but if you want a quality battery case as well as an integrated way of adding more storage capacity to your iPhone without buying a new one, this is a good option.
It’s available for pre-order right now on Mophie’s website, and will begin to ship on March 14.
