Ematic announces $79.99 Genesis Prime 7-inch Android tablet

For those budget-minded individuals who want a tablet that’s very affordable but still feature-filled (to an extent), Ematic’s Genesis Prime might be a winner. It features a 7-inch display, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), a front-facing VGA-resolution camera, a 1.1GHz single-core CPU, 4GB of onboard storage, and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. If black isn’t your favorite color, the Genesis Prime can also be had in blue, gray, pink, purple, and red. Unlike many budget tablets, this actually features the whole suite of Google’s Android applications, such as Google Play and Gmail. While this tablet isn’t cutting-edge by any means, it’s still more than acceptable for general usage, especially given its sub-$100 price. If you’re interested, it’s currently listed on Amazon.
