Now that the untethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak has been released, we can finally start to take a look at some unique and slick themes for various devices. Today, I’ll be taking a look at a theme called Ambriel by @FlybriTn. At the time of this post (and video below), the theme isn’t yet available in Cydia. If you want it right this second, you can head over to the ModMyI thread for the theme, donate something to him via PayPal, and you’ll get your copy of the theme. I imagine that the theme will cost just a few bucks.
In terms of what in iOS is actually themed, I’d say that about 80% of the entire operating system has been modified. Some apps, such as Stocks and Game Center, were left alone. Fortunately, practically every element that you actually care about is themed. Just a handful of these things include:
- the status bar and its icons,
- all App Store apps (automatic icon masks),
- all stock applications,
- most jailbroken applications (icons can be easily made via Theme Icon Maker from Cydia),
- a custom Color Keyboard theme,
- a custom SBSettings theme,
- custom UI sounds,
- some wallpapers,
- and much, much more.
Themes are hard, if not impossible, to explain via text, so you should now go ahead and view the screenshot gallery below as well as our overview below to really get an idea of what this particular theme has to offer you.
