[Tutorial] Change your iOS device’s carrier logo without a jailbreak [Video]

Being without an untethered jailbreak for new devices over the past several months, users have been finding unique ways of getting some core tweaks without a jailbreak. Lately, this has included getting some Cydia apps, removing stock apps, and even removing Newsstand. You can also easily change your carrier logo, which is what this post will explain.

This tweak works for both Windows and Mac OS X, and the overall process takes less than a minute to complete. Our video below outlines the process for Mac OS X, but it’s very similar to the way that it will work from within Windows. It’s easy to where I’m not even going to explain anything in this post. It’s that easy. But, essentially, you just need to simply download the program for your operating system, run it, and follow its instructions. You don’t even have to restart your device for the changes to take affect, as we’re just dealing with editing the IPCC file for your particular carrier. Speaking of which, not all carriers are supported. In the U.S., Sprint doesn’t support custom carrier logos, as they use a simple text string instead of an image, as most carriers do. Without a jailbreak, some carriers simply can’t have a custom logo.
