Unfortunately, don’t expect any value-added extras with your purchase, such as a screen protector. This is a bit disappointing, considering the price of the case and the fact that these extras wouldn’t add much (if anything) to the price of the package. Fortunately, the case makes up for a lot of that.

The Glow itself is fantastic. It uses a dual-material construction, consisting of TPU on the inside and around the lip (front and back) and a hard & glossy shell. It’s also quite lightweight.

Once your phone is installed, you’ll be pleased with the amount of lay-on-the-table design that you’re getting. In other words, the front TPU material is raised up enough to where, should you put your phone display-down onto a surface, the display won’t actually be touching it. Of course, a screen protector is recommended regardless. The volume button covers take away from the amount of feedback when being pressed, but are fairly easy to press. Above those is the silent switch cutout, which is just large enough to get to the switch without fussing over it. Though, it would be nice if it was just a tad bit larger. At the top is the power button cover, made of the same TPU material as the volume buttons, but is more “clicky” when being pressed. Down at the bottom are three cutouts. One cutout’s for the speaker, while the large one in the middle is for the microphone, Lightning port, as well as the rest of the speaker. There’s a cutout all the way to the left for the 3.5mm headset jack that’s a bit above average in terms of size, so it should be able to accommodate most headphone plugs. Lastly, the back is where you’ll find the lone, oversized camera cutout. There’s no black lining around it, but I haven’t experienced any LED flash issues when taking photos.

One thing to note is that I find the back of the case to be a bland in terms of design. The only exterior branding that you’ll find is the Skech logo along the right side of the case. Having some sort of “Glow” branding on the back, preferably centered along the bottom, might make the back look less plain.

In terms of bulk, this case is fairly slim, and feels comfortable to hold in your hand. And because of the particular materials that are being used, you’ll be getting a fair amount of protection. Build quality and construction also seem good.

With all that being said, this is a great little case. While there aren’t any included accessories, the Glow makes up for that by offering protection in a lightweight, slim yet good looking package.
